Improvements and New Projects

Forever Oak Hill Mausoleum

In November of 2003, construction crews began work on the elegant new Forever Oak Hill Chapel Mausoleum. The 10,880-square-foot building clad in white Georgian marble,  house's the area's newest Library of Lives, a permanent collection of thousands of LifeStories™, made from video clips, photos, written and spoken words. According to Brent Cassity, president of Forever Enterprises, the signature building creates a classic new landmark for the southwest entrance to Kirkwood at the intersection of I-44 and Big Bend Boulevard. Cassity stated, "Many distinguished Missourians are buried there. This new chapel and mausoleum is the focal point for telling the life stories of today's and tomorrow's St. Louisans."

Monument at Forever Oak Hill

Designed by Jantsch Slaggie Architects and built by A.J. Brown, Inc., the facility echoes a classic design, including vast marble columns and arched colonnade surrounding the building. The building contains 2,000 indoor and outdoor crypts and niches of varying sizes, including couch crypts, glass-front cremation niches, private mausoleum valuts and semi-rpivate mausoleum gardens. The centerpiece of the chapel mausoleum is a 24-ft. by 80-ft. visitation area with soaring vaulted ceilings accented by nautral wood beams and expansive skylights. The visitation include several touch-screen LifeStories™ consoles where visitors can access the cemetery's growing Library of Lives. A second area of the building is family suites, arrangement rooms and support facilities.

The Legends Garden at Forever Oak Hill Cemetery is a special area reserved for private family estates. The historic tradition of private family estates is well represented at Forever Oak Hill. Many of the area's most prominent families have selected private family estates, which usually include six to twenty burial spaces with a large central monument or private mausoleum. The Legends Garden is an elegant new development, featuring massive stone gates and privacy hedges. Each individual family estate has been reserved for custom-tailored memorialization to suit each family's unique needs.
